Avui us presento el parc d'atraccions de Seül, el Lotte World. Sent Seül una ciutat taaaaan gran, per suposat que havia de tenir un parc d'atraccions (encara que si comparem la ciutat amb Barcelona, Seül hauria de tenir 5 o 6 parcs d'atraccions, però bé, amb un ja fan). Lotte World està situat al sud del riu, a l'est. Com que em va agradar això de posar mapes explicatius encara que no fagin falta, aquí en teniu un perquè veieu on està. La creu vermella és on visc jo, i la A és el parc.
Today I would like to introduce Seoul's amusement park, Lotte World. Given that Seoul is such a big city, of course they needed an amusement park only for themselves (even Barcelona has one, so maybe, comparatively, Seoul would need 5 or 6, but they make do with one). Lotte world is placed south of the river. Since it seems I liked this of posting maps even if it's not necessary, here's the position of Lotte World, marked with the A, and my home, in the red cross.
A escala de Seül això vol dir que està molt lluny, i es tarden uns 40 minuts en metro. Com totes les estacions de metro, aquesta és gegant, i té vàries botigues subterrànies. Quan dic que és gegant vull dir que plaça Catalunya i tots passadissos del metro que hi ha per allà no són res comparats amb les estacions més normals de Seül (La Fontana di Trevi estava en aquesta estació!) Aquí teniu un dels passadissos subterranis que va cap al parc.

Lotte World pertany al gran grup empresarial "Lotte", que té diversos grans magatzems repartits per tota la ciutat. Però no només això, també té marques de menjar (pots trobar la xocolata Lotte a qualsevol supermercat!) i tantes altres coses.

In this case the station was connected with the entrance of the amusement park and with the Lotte department store...yes, Lotte again. Lotte World belongs to "Lotte" group, that has several department stores in Seoul. Not only this: they also have food brands (You can find Lotte choocolate in any supermarket!) and many other business.

It's a far cry from our amusement park, Universal Port Aventura, where in the entrance there's only the ticket boots and they put very exciting music, like in a movie, so you really think you are going to do something great. First thing you notice when you enter to Lotte World is:
Efectivament, és un parc d'atraccions cobert!! (I ja han fet bé en la meva opinió, precisament aquell dia feia un fred que no s'aguantava). Pot semblar petit, (més que res perquè ho és), però des d'on vaig fer la foto és una zona amb quatre pisos, on hi ha les cues de les diverses atraccions, restaurants... tot molt ben encaixadet. Però com que aquí a Seül hi ha temporadetes en que fa bon temps (això m'ho han dit, jo encara no ho he vist mai...), també hi ha la part exterior.
It's an indoor park! (And in my opinion it was a nice decision, coincidentally that day was super cold)(like all the days). It could seem small (and it's small indeed), but when I took this photo I was in the 4th floor. All this floors are used for the entrances and lines of the attractions, restaurants and shops...everything put together like a Tetris. But I heard Seoul has good climate from time to time (I haven't seen it so I will have to trust that someone), so they also have they outdoors part.
Arribats a aquest punt suposo que us fixareu en aquest castell estil Disney que hi ha al acabar el pont. I és que Lotte World està...¿inspirat? en l'esperit de Disney, no només en aquest castell quasi copiat, sinó en les decoracions i els espectacles que hi tenen lloc. Alguns exemples:
It's inevitable that you notice this Disney-style castle where the bridge ends. To put it mildly I will say that Lotte World has taken some "ideas" from Disney Spirit, not only with the almost identical castle but also with the decorations and the performances that take place there. Some examples:
Desfilades (m'està semblant veure a l'Aladdin i la Jasmín?).
Parades (is that Aladdin? Jasmeen?).
Un escenari pels espectacles, sobretot de dances del món.
A big stage for the performances, mainly about dancing.
A part d'això, com a tot arreu, quantitats industrials de merxandatge, pica-piques i el personatge preferit dels nens a Corea, el Pororo, que és el pingüinet blau. Sembla el Pocoyó, però el Pororo porta en antena 10 anys... així que en aquest cas no sé qui ha copiat a qui...
Besides this, like everywhere, huge amounts of merchandise, snacks everywhere and the kid's favourite character in Korea, Pororo, the blue penguin.
L'aparició d'aquest personatge marronet ha donat peu a una professió molt respectada dintre del món dels parcs d'atraccions. Consisteix en el següent:

Així que mentres estava muntada als "cavallitos" podia gaudir d'aquesta noia i tres persones més dient hola amb aquest ninot a la mà. I com ja us vaig avançar, la secció del parc dedicada a Espanya (sense ñ inclosa, fixeu-vos en la bandera):
So while I was riding the carousel I could enjoy the view of this girl and three more people waving their hands with this cute thing in their hands. And as I advanced some posts before, this is the Spanish part of the park. The Churros are a typical spanish sweet snack. (have in mind that in spanish, spain is written with ñ: ESPAÑA. Just look carefully the flag please).
Però també hi havien botiguetes molt monites. Aquestes diademes que hi han les portava tothom: orelles de gat, de ratolí, llacets...
There were also cute shops (with spanish names). Everybody was wearing these hairbands: mouse ears, cat ears, bows...
El dia que vam anar-hi estava ple a vessar de gent, així que a poques atraccions es podia muntar...en concret vaig muntar als cavallitos i a... una altra atracció. Però era molt graciosa! (I què més puc dir després d'esperar 2'30h per pujar a una sola cosa...?)
Unfortunatelly that day it was super crowded so we only rode the carousel and...another one. But it was very cute! (What else should I say after wainting 2'30h for riding one single attraction?)
Uns globus aerostàtics que seguien un raïl pel sostre i que et permetien tenir una vista molt maca del parc. La veritat és que em va agradar molt. Llàstima del temps d'espera!
Hot-air balloons that allowed you to do sight-seeing inside the park. It was really nice! A pitty we had to wait for it thaaat long.
I sí, això que veieu a baix és una pista de patinatge sobre gel! El preu no anava inclòs en l'entrada perquè crec que és part del centre comercial, però tampoc és un preu exagerat.
This is a ice skating ring! I'm not sure if t was included with the amusement park ticket because it's part of the underground Lotte deparment store, but anyway it can't be expensive.
En general Lotte World em va agradar, el que passa és que si el comparem amb Port Aventura surt evidentment perdent, així que prefereixo comparar-lo amb el Tibidabo, que també està dins de la ciutat (i tot i que té més classe no té el mateix encant!!). Com que segueix el mateix concepte de parc familiar i per nens que Disney Land, les atraccions no són molt fortes (alguna n'hi ha, però tampoc està tan centrat en això com Port Aventura), l'estètica està molt cuidada i hi ha espectacles tot el dia. És un espai relativament petit però ben aprofitat, i crec que amb la caca de clima que tenen aquí és una gran idea que sigui sota cobert. Està bé que la ciutat tingui un lloc com aquest on els nens o joves puguin anar-hi fàcilment en metro. Però si algun dia veniu a Seül, la veritat és que no us recomano efusivament que hi aneu, no val la pena. Fa gràcia veure'l i donar-hi una volta, però no és res de l'altre món i hi ha coses més interessants per fer (però per si fa fred, aquí la temperatura és bona, així que podeu venir-hi).
About my personal opinion, I would say that is was a nice experience, but if you are searching for really exciting experiences you don't need to come here. The appearance is nice and there are many performances, so I think they search for family public. It's quite small but cozy, with all the spaces well-planned, and the indoor thing is a great idea. Besides, kids or teenagers can come here alone with metro. But if you come to Seoul for tourism, I don't recommend you to go there, it's not worth. It's cute and fun, but there are other more interesting things to do in the city. (But if it's too cold, come here, the temperature is nice!).
