The beer outlet // Bars de cervesa

Quan te'n vas tan lluny de casa, les coses són diferents. Això està clar, no? Però el que no t'imagines és que tot sigui diferent, fins i tot els tipus de botigues, on comprar cada cosa, els bars... que com pot ser que un bar sigui diferent? Bé, a part de pel tipus de begudes que venen, perquè aquí a Corea, si vols anar a un bar a fer una cerveseta o el que sigui, has de menjar (i pagar-ho).

When you are away from home, things are different. Everyonw knows that, right? But what you can't imagine when you go away is that even the kind of shops, where to buy things, bars...are also going to be different. How can a bar be different? Well, apart from the kind of drink they sell, here in Korea, if you wanna drink something, you must also eat something (and pay for it).

Però fa poc s'han inventat un tipus de bars més semblants als que tenim per allà: els outlets de cervesa, els anomenen. En poc temps s'han convertit en un lloc de moda per tot Seül, així que ara se'n troben per tot arreu. Tenen aquesta pinta:

But not long ago they "invented" a new concept of bar: the beer outlet, more similar to the Western concept of bar. In few time they spread all over Seoul, so these days it's kind of fashion to go there. They look like this.

El funcionament és fàcil: tot és autoservei. Intruccions d'ús:
     1.Vés a les neveres amb els gots i les cerveses
     2. Agafa la que t'agradi
     3. Torna a la teva taula
     4. Beu-te la cervesa
Repetir els passos de 1-4 tants cops com sigui necessari.
I quan acabes, portes les cerveses al mostrador amb una cistelleta (ja saben que aquí a Corea la gent beu bastant...) i pagues.
The functioning is easy: it's all self service. Instructions:
    1. Got to the fridges where the beers and glasses are.
    2. Take the beer you fancy more
    3. Return to your table
    4. Drink your beer
Repeat the steps 1-4 as many times as it's necessary.
And when you are done, just take all the beers with a little basket provided (they already know that people like drinking...), go to the cashier and pay.

A les neveres posen els preus de cada cervesa, que no són barats eh? Hi ha cerveses de tot el món, i també una selecció de cerveses coreanes, que en general són bastant aigualides i sense gaire gas (fins i tot la cervesa negra té un sabor fluixet!). Però els locals acostumen a estar molt bé, amb lloc per parlar tranquil·lament i música a un volum correcte.

On the freezers it's written the price of each beer (not cheap at all in some cases). There are beers from all over the world and also a selection of korean beers. These ones have more watery taste and they are much less fizzy, so even the black beer has a very smooth flavour. But the bar it's a nice place to spend some time chatting with your friends indeed, with music at the correct volume and nice atmosphere.

 També pots demanar menjar, o portar-lo tu de fora! Per tant molta gent encarrega pollastre fregit i ve al bar a menjar-se'l, o simplement compra una bossa de patates al supermercat del davant. A més, normalment et donen aquest pica-pica, molt típic en tots els bars de cervesa, que pots omplir tantes vegades com vulguis.

You can order food, but also bring it from some other place! So many people comes here with fried chicken, or simply with some french fries they bought in the convinience store near there. Besides this, they usually give you this snack, very typical in all the beer bars, which you can refil all the times you want.

 Normalment no hi ha carta, però en aquest cas m'ha fet gràcia veure quines cerveses tenen...

 Estrella Damm! Ja veieu, ben internacional. Cal dir que a l'envàs normalment posa BARCELONA, ben gran. Fent país!
